Employers who subscribe to the local Pooled Facilities Time Arrangements
The following employers buy into the local Pooled FT Arrangements, which enables local officers to provide representation to NEU members within their schools.

The following employers neither buy into the local Pooled FT Arrangements, nor do they have a Lead Rep model. Any representation would need to be provided by the workplace rep or Regional Office- depending on casework type (please look at the Support/Representation page for further details).

Facilities Time
Representatives from a recognised trade union are legally entitled to time off with pay to fulfil their trade union duties. Therefore, NEU Reps are entitled to be released to support and represent fellow members. All employers are under a legal obligation to provide facility time release and have a statutory responsibility to publish their spending on facilities time.

In Leicester most schools are part of the "pooled" arrangement. This provides the City of Leicester Office with Monday-Friday coverage to support and represent any member within those schools which buy in. Two trusts have their own model, which provides one day release for a rep across their schools. Whilst the remaining employers have no arrangements at all.
